GFGL TRAVEL FIT BLOG: Healthy Snacks for Traveling

As a part of my 2-week challenge, I am not eating out. I like to pack snacks and lunches to go even if I am just going shopping. Basically, I like to munch all day.
Here are my 5 favorite snacks:
  1. Trail Mix: Make your own to suit your needs and likes. Nuts contain protein and fiber, which help satisfy hunger. Nuts are also high in calories and fat, so don’t eat too much! Trail mix is good in moderation.
  2. Vegetables: Celery and peanut butter or carrots and hummus are ideal sources of protein and, duh, vegetables. Glad Containers makes little travel-size containers specifically for dips-to-g0.
  3. Tea: In my experience, cafes always give you free hot water. Tea packets are small and can fit anywhere in your bag.
  4. Protein Bars: Protein bars can often hold you over for a long time.
  5. Dark Chocolate: Traveling is often stressful and sometimes vegetables just won’t satisfy. Dark chocolate lowers your blood pressure and is loaded with antioxidants. Make sure you always have a backup plan to avoid any additional stress. also has travel-size foods for you (healthy and unhealthy).
